Thanks for comments - the blue remains elusive ;)

Cbeller & Jmsetzler - I tried it in B&W, that was the first thing I did, but the light is so flat with low cloud, and there isn't that much shape or texture here to bring out, so I went with a cold color feel.

very crisp and clean so full marks! I think it really could do with some eye contact and the tiger's pose looks a litle awkward, like he is yawning.

very unusual, a shot of bush which will score you well, hoever as a photograph i couldn't see this being used for anything inside let alone on the cover - it's just not sharp enough.

Is this by Bing Shen by any chance?

Is it a good shot? Nope sorry, it is fantastic, sublime, superb. One of the best & most original shots I have ever seen on DPC I feel.

The lighting is harsh and well thought out. The pose and props are something we don't see every day and very thought provoking and provocative.

The background works very well, many people would have chosen to shoot something like this on a white or black plain background which would ruin it imho. It conveys a certain feeling of chaos and drama, perfect for this image.

Even the blur of the chain gives this photograph another edge, it's static overall but just that little detail gives it a sense of action and momentum.

I hope that this gets the 1st place it deserves, DPC needs originality from photographers like yourself. I can see a few voting it down for 1) showing a gun and insinuating violence, some for it looking different, thus photoshoped, and others for it not being 'the perfect magazine exposure' I.e blown out detail on the t-shirt and too harsh shadows.

I can't wait to read your critiques afterwards, I will laugh to myself if someone puts any of the above ;)

Honestly my congrats on a superb photograph, I can't fault it in any way possible.
Ten ten ten!

Ps: Also congratulations on my longest comment, sorry for the drivel ;)

A fantastic shot - I bet some people moan about loss of detail in the blown out t-shirt and the dark ahir etc etc - blah blah blah to them, this is great stuff. Love the grain/texture on the floor - really brings the people into the picture. 10
