"I do"by AllyrelliaComment: Originally posted by Allyrellia: Yikes! I would have thought it was pretty obvious as to how this fits the challenge... |
I didn't give you a 1 or 2 but I did understand the message clearly. Perhaps people didn't realize that is indeed what a chinchilla looks like? I thought this was one of the stronger propaganda messages in that the meaning was clear and unambiguous and wasn't trying to sell a physical product. I do agree that it is on the soft side (pun intended) and perhaps loses a little impact by having the background image so small. I think I might have printed that part out to make a poster and positioned the little guy in front. Same concept but you wouldn't lose image space to the edges of the monitor, the browser toolbar, etc. Even better would be to have gotten hold of a model and some fake fur and done a "live" version. |

Worth it?by arnitComment: I really thought this one would have been one of the top three. The only thing that brought it down to an 8 for me was that he didn't look dead to me. More like he just nodded out. A little bluing of the lips perhaps some discoloration of the skin near the needle would have given me more of a dead vibe. |

Smoking is Dead Sexy by TechnoShroomComment: Thank you everyone. Quite pleased, and for those that asked, yes I smoked them all, and no I don't practice what I preach. Sorry. To any kids out there... Don't start smoking. That is all. Message edited by author 2003-11-26 00:08:16. |

a quiet kind of ironyby MiahComment: Originally posted by thefragile: you know, i find it kind of funny that you ranted about people not knowing what irony was, but then put this up. is it ironic that someone with a wheelchair has a future?
hmm...well, maybe that's just your opinion. but i disagree, this is not ironic. |
Maybe he meant ironic in that such an archaic piece of technology is labeled futuro?? After all with the state of medicine as it is now we can reconnect limbs that have been severed many hours before, we can put in mechanical hearts, transplant organs from other species, even grow body tissue in the lab. There are high tech prosthetics used by olympic quality athletes. Yes, there is irony here. |

Networking for Dummiesby melkingComment: The photo is nice but I don't really see how it illustrates Networking for Dummies. Networking sure but where is the dummies part? |
