Lookby moniepennyComment: I think it is a just fine, well shot, well cropped, very honest portrait shot.
I do agree that the nose and beads are just a tad overblown and might be helped a bit by taking this image into PhotoShop and going into levels and pulling back on the output whites just a tad ... if you have PhotoShop ... If not ... just pull back on the brightness a bit in any image editor as I don't think the rest would suffer too much if you did.
If I was gonna be fussy, I would say some noise reduction could help this a bit to make it look more smooth.
I very much like that this looks very candid and captured rather than posed. This is definitely NOT your average "snapshot" |

Little Readerby neophyteComment: I love your photo and I hope you like my caption in the funny title thread on this one. It is a great shot ... one for posterity for SURE! Congratulations.
Yeah ... just softly burn that top left corner down a bit and put it on the wall. Message edited by author 2007-02-26 05:33:19. |

Bendby BenComment: I agree that a touch more exposure would have helped it ... not sure about shutter open time ... maybe more open aperture if you had any to spare. I like the "time of day" feel to it so would not want TOO much more EV. I also think it could be cropped down a bit for more impact but all the above is being fussy ... it is a very nice capture. |
