This is pretty nice for an "on the move grab shot". I bet you were wishing you could be in better control of location and composition. I like the way you filled the gap in the trees perfectly with the clouds.

It's interesting that you chose f2.8, a close focus point, and got this much DOF as well. You must have been shooting in twilight, or using a lot of ND filter to go 2 sec @ f2.8 and not over expose.
The long low white cloud looks like a tidal wave coming ashore. Pretty, but spooky too.

That impressive cloud cover does a lot for this one. I like the huge DOF too. We call those cacti "prickly pear" here, and the local Mexican Americans like to cook and eat them.

Very stormy. Having the aircraft in the center gives it a focal point. It's a little detail that is not visible in the thumbnail.
I feel that including a horizon line would have improved the image a little, but maybe what was there would detract from the simplicity of the minimal effect with just the airplane to anchor the shot.
