The Engine of our "Prosperity"by hahn23Comment: I like it, just like this! It resonates with the soul of the machinery in this, and connects with me because it's something that I could probably build if necessary. I would have loved to see this aparatus in motion. Thanks for sharing your cool looking find. |

starterby bspurgeonComment: Nice find. I probably know what the inside of that box looks like, since I work with vegetable packing equipment. Each electric motor in a big machine is powered through a disconnect switch like those on the wall, and also has a "starter" which is actually an overload to protect the motor.

Nuts-Oby JudiComment: Hi Judi! This is a nice "out of the box" shot, not at all your normal style. I like the creamy color in this personally but feel that it would have scored higher as a B&W. The paint completely covers the metal, and makes it look as though it might be plastic in this one.
I admire that you probably knew that this would not ribbon, but shared it with us anyway. |

Speed Freakby SirashleyComment: Nicely done! They were racing the full sized ones in the local river last weekend, but I was too busy to get out to shoot any photos of them. |

The forest where I go to dream...by Bear_MusicComment: This is lovely Robert! The color gradient works great with the vertical blur. My first thought when seeing this was that perhaps you did this by moving your new Lensbaby with the shutter open and the camera solid on a tripod. |

Cyclistby salmiakkiComment: I like what the zoom did for the rider. Maybe a good subtitle would be "tailwind" with the streaking looking like the wind is blowing the colors forward from the rider. The backward leading line of the road is pretty cool too. It sweeps me from the right side down to the rider. |

Santa & Rileyby KelliComment: My first thought about this one is "Norman Rockwell". Very nicely done. |

Fall in West Cornwall (APAW-1)by PGerstComment: This would make a very nice post card. On my screen, the dark green in the left side seems a little too dark. It is a perfect scene for a fall landscape. Thanks for sharing. I cans see why you would print it for your home collection. |

Brooklyn Bridge Fireworksby DeniseComment: I like the composition in this one, and that you have several iconic structures included, along with the fireworks. You didn't post camera settings, so it's fun to guess at them. I would be thinking possibly iso 200, about 8 or 10 sec at f11 or 16, though the lights didn't "star" for some reason, possibly you used a ND filter or polarizer and wider aperture? Anyway, you got it right, and it's a pretty scene. The letterbox crop works nicely for this too. |
