Very evocative image! Sailing is joy in slow motion, and this is one of the things that you see often when cruising. Good sky and light for the intended effect in this one.
Thanks for the happy reminder.

You seem to have the knack for getting the most off the wall things to become very catchy images.
I can see that you keep your camera handy for this kind of thing.

This kind of grass grows where I live too, and it is difficult to get levels right for sky and ground with it, as you have posted. You may be able to get it right out of the box with a gradient filter on the camera when shooting. It's one of the most useful things to have in your outdoor kit.
You have many outstanding photos of people in your portfolio. You're good at seeing, or arranging, and then capturing the right moment.

I like this night scape. The old bridge in the foreground, and the water make it a comfortable blend of old and new building styles. I see that you used a long exposure, as the auto lights suggest. It's very nice how some of the buildings seem to be glowing in this image too.
It would be helpful to others wanting to learn how to shoot this type scene, for you to post the info about camera settings.

I like the jumble of angular rock, and that the fall has a kink also to match. This is a good view of a very pleasant looking place. I don't see how the image could be improved, except possibly to wait for different light and shoot another from the same position. It would not be better, it would be just a different looking image.

These things are only dangerous for a couple of seconds every week or two, but you never know which couple of seconds it will be.
I really like the flower, and even more, the duckweed "whiskers!" Just too funny!
It's just another of your usual fare of killer images.

I like that you shot more of the water in this one. Maybe because it's on line at 640 res, there is an area at the bottom with not much detail at all which may have looked a little better with a slightly higher camera angle, but then that would put the boat in the center and mess up the balance which is so nice now. A slight lightening would eliminate the dark area without disturbing the composition, esp if it was done with a dodge & burn to just that area.
Very peaceful and relaxing to look at just as it is.

I can hardly wait to see your "Best of 06" image! I would bet that your heart pounding when you made this capture.
I wonder how this would look PP'd with "Gothic Glow" as Jutilda used on her image "Down the Road" to get the "glowing" effect?

I'm really drawn to the light in the tree tops along the horizon, and the stormy rich colors in this image.

Sunset is my fav time of day, and the sky in Florida really lights up for them in the fall and early winter.
The birds in the foreground are a big plus to me, and the centered composition is nice and seems balanced. It's neat that the birds form a wedge to the right, and the clouds behind them form a wedge to the left with the sun rays making a wedge downward. It's an inverted triangle composition.
