The moment of trust. Beautiful with the horse all damp, and the flowers in the background. Light was just right. Focus is right on. The only way I see to improve the original capture would be to open up a stop and have a little less DOF to soften up the trees in the back. Looks good just as it is to me.

Very close up looking and clear shot. Too bad the others left. The pole is not good, but the rest of the image is fine with me. Good light for this. I guess you were quite excited to get this. I would be.

This image has good composition in the foreground with the curve and matching shadow in the portal. Depth of field is great on this also, with good detail in the foreground as well as to the horizon. Classic travel pic. There must be a lot of history in the structures here.

This is nice the way the water picks up the colors from the sky. The person walking on the pier helps to add a sense of scale. Take a few extra seconds when you shoot this kind of scene and try to get the horizon level and it will look a lot better. If you get a photo edit program, you will be able to fix the unlevel shots, but it will lose some at each corner when you do that, so it's best to shoot it level to begin with.

Shots like this where you stop and capture the moment add a lot to your portfolio. I seem to get most of my photos that way.
The tree fits nicely into the frame, and the fog completes the connection with the earth at the ends of the limbs. I like this kind of light which happens early and late in the day.
Sharpness is not quite up to your usual tack sharp photos. For this one it did not need to be that sharp.

This is a splendid scene to begin with, and the "simplifier" PP gives it the slightly hazy look that allows imagination to fill in the details. I had to go back several times to see this again.

Very pleasing to look at. The purple in the back looks so soft that it's almost like a gas flame in shape and color. Good choice for the challenge, and I see that it did better than you thought it would.

Old and forgotten

I really like this image. I'm wondering if you noticed how the line of clouds with the blue below almost line up with the waterline of the boat when you were setting this one up. I see the lighted area that Ursula mentioned as well. That helps a lot to light the details to see in the boat.
There is quite a lot of woodcrafting art to building this kind of boat.
