Michelle Senior Portrait Toned Versionby kirbicComment: I like both. I don't see the lavender cast that Pedro mentions on this Mac monitor.
The only things I see to do would be crop the bottom a bit if it fits the printers format, and maybe brighten up the one tooth that is in the shadow of her smile just a little. The printer may do a better job with the toned one. Shallow DOF is ok with me as it accents the pixie eyes above the dimple in the chin.
I am just a casual observer in the studio field, as it is not my field of experience, so this is just my unqualified opinion. |

Got the truck runnin' yet? by NikonJebComment: Great pic of a 30's Ford. My grandfather had a 32 that he called "Leapin' Lena" that he bought new. I still remember when he gave it to my brother. We found out right away that it would do 85 mph by the speedometer.
Good job with the image. The moss growing on it is good for color in the image, and for the metal. The metal will not rust much where the moss is on it.
Congrats on the ribbon, and thank you for jogging my memory. |

Ghostby RgarciaComment: I also seem to get these "ghost' images. I see this one very clearly. The image "Horsey Happiness" in my profile has one in the left upper area in front of a tree, of a native american with a rifle or spear. There is another in one of the Rio Grande pics that looks like a man fishing.
I makes me wonder what we are not actually seeing when we look at some scenes before we click the shutter. |

Summer Dawnby samtrundleComment: A grand scene. The light, the fog, the landscape all work to make this image captivating. The border is ok. It sets the image apart from the white webpage background. Good Job, and happy new year! Great start! |

Chili Balloonby CapeSailComment: The simplest improvment would be to increase contrast. I try to use a polarizer when shooting things against the sky whenever possible. I usually try to get the ground in the pics of balloons if they are close to the ground, to add interest. This balloon is so big that it is hard to get good composition for a photo of it.
Balloon Fiesta is a good time to find out if you have enough memory cards for your camera. |

birdby optionComment: Is this for real? In any case, well done. This one sticks out in the thumbs, and looks good this size too. |

autumn laneby bvlindalouComment: I missed this one somehow earlier when looking in your portfolio. What a lovely view with all the fall colors. All the trees are bent the same way, by wind I assume.
I agree that the black border is a good choice. |

park-life.jpgby dewdodesignComment: A content looking lesser sulphur crested 'too. The title ties in with the bench that he is perched on. It makes me wonder if he is wild or a pet.
Good use of depth of field, and good set up to get the background that far behind the subject.
The area in the image is just about right to show that the bird is in a park, and still keep the bird large enough to have good detail.
It makes images more interesting to have a little background posted in the photog's comments. |
