Radiating Entranceby jackal9Comment: Great subject with the radial pattern. I would have cropped at the bottom to remove the distracting foreground. No color works well for this too, as the pattern is physical, and not a color pattern. |

Come Homeby scarbrdComment: This image has that magical "human connection" quality. The fogged glass with the clear spot is perfect for the effect connected with the title. I like the frame, and like to think that it was part of the actual scene.
Very moving image to me. |

The Waitingby reddishgirlComment: Good concept for the challenge theme. Shot from a different angle would make this better, but I don't see a way to get the dog's expression that way, unless you put a mirror on the door and shoot from behind the dog. |

Enter the Trainby lilnukeeComment: A longer exposure would have been good for this, showing the train moving would accent the "entrance" concept. |

Farmhouse Gateby Pug-HComment: If the sign or poster at the gatehouse had been moved out of the scene, this would be a timeless looking image. Beautiful place, and well photographed. Fits the challenge theme well. |

Exit the solar system. Comet McNaught. To return in 300,000 years. by John WhiteComment: Right place, right time, right equipment, right composition, right clear sky, right pleasing, right with the dead tree on one side and live on the other (life to death implied), right knowlege about exposure, right contrast of the tail with the stars, right reflection in the still water.
10, right?
My first 10 is for this image. Part your technique, and part your luck. |

The elusive Snowy Owl 120 knots off shoreby lawlessComment: I can't believe no one has commented on this since the challenge! What a nice capture of a rare bird so far off shore. I wonder if he was living on the oil rig that is in your other images? I did not know that owls would fly that far unless they were blown by the wind. I am happy that it found a place to perch and rest, and that you were there with your camera. |
