When I saw this challenge i decided to try and take a picture of my dog standing inside the inner door of my house looking like he was watching someone who just enterd the house.. When I had taken a few shots that failed because he was so happy and wanted to play because i was lying on the floor. And when I gave up trying to take the shot I wanted he heard someone shutting a car door and came running and i got this shot. I only got one chance and I'm happy with it. It could have been better but there's always next time. I'm just happy no-one actually entered through the front door while I was lyinf there =P

Post processing:
All i did was resize the picture so it would fit the size rules!

Out of focus

It would help if the photo was in focus..

It's too blurry, but I like the concept.

Oh, have I seen that look before! *smile* Look at the intensity in the eyes! A little bit out of focus and too much of a "snapshot" look to it by comparison. Perhaps, a bit more cropping off of the top and a little bit more sharpening would have buffed this up a bit more?????

I like this concept, and I like the low angle. But, I wanted more depth of focus as I looked at it; the dog is either out of focus or far too soft, but the door handle is also out of focus, so I wasn't quite sure where I should be looking. White balance also seems a bit off to me, so the whites are a tad out of sync to my eyes (compare the door to the wall behind the dog).

Try again. The dog's a little soft, infact everything is a little soft. Nice concept tho.

cute. the composition is a bit weak and the focus is too soft but I like the idea...

I feel its not sharp and has been taken with a point-shoot flash.. Try playing with the flash and the exposure compensation

I like this concept a lot. The doggy clearly knows that door's going to be opened at any minute. But the focus seems soft, is it deliberate? Not so sure but I'll give u the benefit of the doubt 7

Cute. :D Dogs are quite patient at times. As for the image, it's a bit too blurry and OOF, perhaps underexposed some as well. I do like the angle and POV you took in capturing it. Good luck in the challenge.

nothing in focus here

Good concept for the challenge theme. Shot from a different angle would make this better, but I don't see a way to get the dog's expression that way, unless you put a mirror on the door and shoot from behind the dog.
