the son of Daedalusby boysetsfireComment: You have the touch for the urban shots. Not much to say about this one except it's exactly right just as it is. You followed the bird almost perfectly.

Rocksby asimchoudhriComment: This is a beautiful little slice of time captured. The polarizer was a good choice, as it likely helped increase the saturation of colors as well as helping get the longer exposure you wanted. This is shot from a carefully chosen angle and with the right lens to get the effect that you wanted. If you have two polarizers you can turn them and get any ND from -4 to almost infra red dark.
Good luck with this year. |

Day 2by karmatComment: Where you live must be beautiful during parts of the year. Was it actually this dark when you shot this image? Paper mills have a distinctive aroma all their own, as do the citrus juice plants in this area. I wish you fair winds blowing toward the mill from your home. |

DAY 3 . where i live . & dog .by rozComment: Like the little tag on the collar in this shot. It seems a little burst of color in an otherwise low key image. So tell us the name of your pooch. It looks like a fun mutt with personality to spare. We have fire trails here as well. They are good places for a walk here too. |

Where I Live (2)by SandyPComment: This is a happy looking back porch! I am happy that you have a good place like this to kick back and relax at home. It certainly helps with keeping the creative juices flowing to have a place to restore yourself. |

Day 2 Wheel-Arndaleby ValdoComment: I somehow feel that I am looking at a reflection. This is a powerful but busy image. For me it is worth looking at for a while to see what all is scattered around in it. I seem to like looking at details in images like this for some reason. I sometimes find little areas that would make good images if taken out of context from the orig image. |

Day 2by renegade1966Comment: It looks to me like you worked the contrast about right to get the doors to have at least a little detail for this image. I agree that a little darker, and dodge the area with the doors would be a little better if you have the tools for that.
Winter offers opportunities for this type photos not available in the summer or spring when the trees are all filled out with leaves. |

2-30.jpgby agrimaceComment: I look fwd to seeing more images of this town with all it's history. The sepia looks great for this, giving it the dull overcast lighted winter time look. |
