I don't know what they put in there, but they have room for a bunch of it. Maybe in the next few days if you go by there again you will see a sign or a truck going in or out and find out what they use the building for. I would guess that building would show up in the satellite images available on line for sure.

If you had a polarizer that would work with your camera, the sky would be much darker, and the building would stand out better. I have used one of my larger ones with a HP point & shoot with good results by just holding it over the lens when shooting.

It looks like a good venture into P P land. If you do this again sometime, you might want to try misting the plants with a pump bottle to see if the droplets will look good.

Good title, and good image too. I don't even want to think about how cold it must be there. While you are on the "frost" kick, try shooting one with a black or blue poster board behind it to see how it looks in color. Thanks for getting out in the cold to get these. I don't think we are tired of seeing these. Shooting the same kind of scene over and over is how you prepare for the time when you may get the big "one time" opportunity and your skills will be ready to get the image without having to stop and figure it out while the scene disappears.

The shadows look good in this, and I see that the sun is shining a bit there now, which must feel very good.
Good choice to not use color. I also like that you included the tops of the trees beyond the tracks.

Ah Ha! I see that you have the fabled Nikkor lens. It looks like it is working well for you! The boaters seem to be having a good time. I see excellent sharpness and detail, even though you were shooting into the glare on the water.

I like that you waited for the train to brighten up what would have been a rather drab scene.
When I was a teenager, my friends an I would play in the wood chip cars at a sawmill where the father of one of my pals worked. It was the last active sawmill of any size in this area of Florida. Thanks for the reminder of happy times.
I wonder how much effect the flood had on the mill there?

Cool looking place. I wonder if it was a "Grange" hall a long time ago? Beautiful the way you have photographed it with the garden in the foreground.
It stands out to me that it has no shutters or awnings of any kind. Is that a common feature of local building style?

Wow! This reminds me of the "little miss muffet" nursery rhyme, but this spider is going to have a cold butt when it sits down.
Very nicely captured. I can see that this image would be a great starting point for some photoshop trickery by turning the background into sky blue, or black.
It looks very natural to me, and I like it just as you have it.
Can you clarify the term "wheelie bin" for us who are across the pond?

At first glance I thought that this may be New England, and the first line of your comment explains why. This place has quite a colorful history! Thanks for sharing. I haven't read all of it yet as I don't have time right now, but will be back for the rest soon.
It looks like one of the ghosts just vanished in a puff of smoke in the sky above the village. : )

Nice back yard you have. It looks like there may have been a garden just beyond the dog pen. Northern dogs are tough. I run a little heater for my yard dog on nights when the temp gets below 45F.
Have a great Sunday.
