We have watering restrictions here in S Florida too. Most of the trees and plants in my yard are native ones, so they tend to do all right without any extra water at all.
Here they call the gardening like you have "xeriscape" gardening, and it has been getting more popular as the water supply dwindles.
It is a nice little garden that you have, and must look good when everything around is dry and brown.
I like the low angle, as it puts the plants in a nice perspective .

This is a nice glimpse of an America that is fading away. There are no longer any family farms here in Florida, and many of the cattle ranches and citrus groves are being overrun by development.
I also like your PP on this one.

I would think that the light on the street in the foreground makes people curious when they see the thumb, so the image gets a lot of views.
I like the light reflections, the swath of the bike lights, and the complex background is interesting to see.
