 This is the view from the cafeteria at work, on the 24th floor of the Illinois Building in the southwest corner of the Loop. The lighting is harsh (late afternoon, looking southeast), and the sky is ugly, but it's like -30F with the wind chill today, and I was trying to stay indoors.

Hey Rob. All this image needs is a bit of some wide-pixel USM and then a finishing sharp to it to make the edges crispy. It's cold there, but this processing looks more like it's hazy.

Filter - Sharpen - unsharp mask 15-20% on 15-25 pixels. Finish this with a 50-100% sharp at .7 pixels.

I actually love the light. How it glows on those buildings with the hint of a sunset in the background.

Have you ever thought about how exciting it must be to be an exterior paint salesman in Chicago?
At least you get a chance to have a big look around from where you work. Thanks for letting us see the view.

I have been hearing about your cold temps all day! Hopefully they won't last long.

This is a beautiful view of the city and look at how tiny that semi looks!
