Day 7 Rail Road Crossingby UNCLEBROComment: The contrail fits right in with this image too. I like the time of day for the lighting. It's good to live where you can stand in the middle of the road and get shots like this if you want, and without getting honked at. |

Gruenwald.jpgby rider64Comment: I am happy to see that the local people care enough about their heritage to make the effort to keep this place in good care. The overcast helps with even lighting of all the detail in the image from a tech standpoint, but a better sky would make it more pleasing in an artistic sense. Since this is a PAD image, that is not a problem at all! Isn't this show & tell challenge a lot of fun? : ) |

Day 12 - Showerby xianartComment: Showers are a good tradition. Like the dragon on the little outfit. It got a smile for me this morning. |

_DSC3981barn2.jpgby griz210Comment: The color quality of the light is just great for the subject. I would try to go back and shoot this scene again when the sky is more interesting. I just feel that the scene is worth a second shoot as the place is such a good subject. Maybe it would be better this spring with all the trees flushed out in green if the barn is still there. The winter shot would compliment the spring shot in a triptich sort of thing. Message edited by author 2007-02-12 08:48:40. |

HAZCHEMby RetroesqueComment: Not too sure what to say about this image other than it looks like the chem has been working on the paint on the door. The PP seems to fit the scene with the dark and washed down look. |

Day 13 - Desolateby xXxscarletxXxComment: My kind of place. Desolate, but beautiful. The junk around the tree adds to the impression of the land being quite unforgiving to those who do not know how to conserve and get by with what is available. I see that you have to watch where you step here. It must take a lot of this land for each livestock animal to get enough to eat.
Nice clouds over the mountains in the distance. |

Homiesby RetroesqueComment: Fun image, and good story too. We have the same situation here in the US, only they are "geek" coffee shops LOL.
They make these guys move before the B-S gets too deep to sweep off the floor. I can just imagine what kind of yarns they are swapping. I can see why they would want to sit around and talk all afternoon. |
