Day 23 - More land clearingby xianartComment: That is a good sized trac hoe. They can definitely gobble things up. At least you got a good image out of it being there, and some entertainment for your "small boy".
That seems a really bad trade for the joy of living next to a big wooded area. I understand exactly how you feel about the land clearing. |

Day 24 - Sunsetby SweetlittlepixieComment: What a nice golden scene! I like the hedge in the foreground, and the long reflection of the sun. That is a very unusual looking bay. Thanks for sharing your vacation for more than one day with us. |

Day 24 - Washington Waveby JimyThingComment: I like the way you included the Washington Monument as well. This view shows off the swirls in the lower part of the sculpture well. |

Day 24 - Looking Downtownby xXxscarletxXxComment: The first thing that catches my eye is that the cars are parked backed to the curb. That's something not done here in the US very often. It's an interesting view of a scene that must look quite ordinary to you. |

Orange Day 24by KatmystiryComment: Good color combo, and you timed it to get the street light involved too. The wires are a distraction from an otherwise very bold looking image with big blocks of solid colors.
Does orange make the food taste better? Message edited by author 2007-02-25 00:55:00. |

DAY 26. where i live. lightning from my bedroom window.by rozComment: If you can stop down the aperture, decrease the ISO setting, and use a tripod, or put the camera on something, you can make the exposure time much longer. Then, you just keep clicking away, and sooner or later lightning will strike while the shutter is open. It's so bright that it will generally overcome any other light in the image. If you are shooting a daytime storm, all of the above plus a polarizer or ND filter will help with making exposure times longer.
I like the effect with the straight screen lines contrasting with the jagged lightning bolt. |

Day 23 George Washington Birthplaceby agrimaceComment: Nice view of an antique tool. I think you are right about the gourd containing water, as you can see how the rag would let it drool on the stone, and you can see the trails where the water ran down the frame on the left side. I wonder if this is where the infamous hatchet that did the cherry tree in was sharpened? |

Day 22by xXxscarletxXxComment: Great textures with the way the ground has been disced up showing the dark red and roughness, and the blue and white of the sky with the puffy clouds repeating the texture there. The grave site is just icing on the cake. I noticed that they put the fence on blocks to keep it from rusting where it contacts the ground. |

Day 24 The Forkby ElaineComment: Go downtown, turn left at the fork in the road. LOL.
That's great. You sneaked the invert in on me too. I didn't catch it in the thumb either. Message edited by author 2007-02-24 14:20:02. |
