Cone Flowerby KatmystiryComment: You play well. This one is simple and not enough color to be distracting from the shape and shading. |

The Waitingby cginoComment: Excellent results with all you did to make the final image here. It's not just about the image, but the subject and composition work well too. |

Black Dogby JutildaComment: Simple and elegant shot. You have reduced the image to just enough to have a positive connection to what is going on in it. I also have a big black lab that looks just about like this one. |

Hot Summers Nightby sherpetComment: That is a lovely color scheme, and rocking the camera seems to be right to make it warm and fuzzy. |

Dollfaceby jessy_pesceComment: This is a captivating shot, and you make a beautiful model. I am impressed with the sharp focus and strong eyes and lips, and the way the lighting makes your nose almost disappear. My first impression was that this was shot with an f 1.4 or f 1.2 however I see that you used 4.5 aperture and lighting to get the shallow DOF effect. Excellent, and well worth a minute of study. The title fits well too. |

Soxby GermaineComment: Good use of color and "legative" space. The color combo works for this. |

Sunburst_P9250038.jpgby GeneralEComment: That worked nicely. I wonder about the physics involved in the colors of the burst. Is it the colors of the grains in the film, or a result of filtering by wavelength, or reflections between grains of the film? I would think that shooting thru a a CD or DVD might work for this too. I will try that, thanks for the idea. |
