The white works ok for me because it gives the bottom of the berry a nice even light. It's interesting that I found and photographed one bloom on a wild logan berry bush today, it's a close relative of this little morsel. Yummy!

It's interesting how plants sometimes seem to radiate light in parts of the spectrum that we can't see, but the camera sensors pick up on.
I love color, and this shot has it. Nice droplets too. This was a good and "handy" find.

Wow Shez! You jumped right into this challenge. The new lens seems to give you the reach you were needing to "shoot from the hip" so to speak, and get your amazing and insightful classy close ups of living growing things.
You found an angle to make the edge of the staghorn just jump off the screen. I have a big one too, about 20 years old, and I don't think it ever looked this good.

This brings back some nice memories. One of my favorite toys when I was about 5 or 6 was one like this, built by "Dietz" company. I still think about it any time I smell kerosene burning.
The frame/border is right for this image too.

You chose the perfect filter for this shot. It looks like a greeting card shot. The ice makes it special. ETA/ Awesome mirror effect, both horizontal and vertical directions. That's just too cool.
