The concept of a line of laundry would have been better accepted by the voters if it had actually been hanging on a "line" outdoors, and photographed from near one end of the line. I guess that this shot didn't have enough solid lines, or one good big one to make it go over well with the voters. Anyway, thank you for saving me from getting the brown ribbon in this "Leading Lines" challenge. I hope that you will keep shooting, and that scores will improve soon for your images.

Rubik's Cube Unicycle

The cube looks good for a pan shot in close quarters with so much going on. A crop to vertical, by removing most of the wall on the left of the door would have helped with the score. I expect that you left the wall in so that the rider would be on the "thirds" line, and to show that he was in fact riding the unicycle. The people voting on DPC seem to want an unmistakable subject to pop right out of the image when they open it. Sharpness is a major plus with voting too. I thought you pulled this off pretty well for an indoor shot.
The easiest pan shots are done with a medium tele lens, or zoom at max range. That way the speed of your rotation to capture the moving subject is much lower than when the subject is passing very close to the camera. Just track with the subject, and remember to keep the camera motion going and follow thru after the shot a little to keep the the motion uniform while the shutter is open.
Thank you for the thoughtful comment on one of my images.

Nice toofies ____< Chomp. That is a cool looking critter. It looks a lot like a Caiman. I don't think I have ever seen one of these.

Wow, pretty!
I see that you were facing South West. At the top right is the lower half of Orion, the belt and sword. At the left edge is his hunting dog Canis Major. The end of it's tail is at the left edge, and the bright star is Sirius, the dog star, and it represents the dog's shoulder. There is an awesome nebulae in the sword of Orion, that can be captured with even a medium telephoto on a good clear night.

[thumb]651436[/thumb] Here is a closer shot of the Orion Nebulae, and a Wico Link. You can see the three brightest stars across the top of this image forming the pattern that is in the top right corner of your image. The nebulae is one of the coolest things in the sky to see thru binocs or a telescope.
I love the way the snow covered ground and the sky behind the farm looks in your shot. Astro photography with the horizon included is beautiful because we have something to reference the sky with. Your image is especially nice in that respect.

That sounds like too much fun for one day. Nice photo and processing. It's amazing to watch our children when they let their imagination run free.

Totally different from sunsets here. That makes it cool!
Sometimes you have to make the best of a not so good situation. This is nice.

You seem to have the touch for slow shutter street scenes. This shot makes me wonder what the guy is looking up at. The wet street sets the "rainy day" scene in this shot.

It took a lot of effort to produce this image. I like it.
LoL, I have also done the comment instead of notes thing, and there is no way to get rid of the comment. It happens when I get too tired to focus on what I am doing.
