That was excellent camera vision to spot the potential in this little scene. I always wondered why there are 3 eyes in the end of a coconut. I guess it is for the same reason that the outer hull has 3 sections.

The curves and different textures make this shot interesting to me. Coconuts are a very special plant in many ways. A flexible bladed butter knife is great for sliding along inside the meat to get it to pop out in big chunks.

My first thought is rear sight on a pistol. The finish work on the item is not smooth enough to be that, so I don't have any idea what it is.

Red Wiggler Worm

The white paper towel was a good choice for BG because of the light reflected back into the subject. Is there something special about this worm that would make it worthwhile to relocate it to your compost pile, or do you live somewhere that has few or no worms in the ground?
I also like the dirt particles on it to give more interest to the shot.

Only the pavement in the foreground gives away the time period of this image. It's just superb!
I just purchased an authentic steam whistle on flea bay, I wonder if it was on one of these engines in the 1860's.
