sdwap_2449.jpgby garrywhite2Comment: Nice catch! I have the same flowers growing in a flower bed near my driveway, but we don't see hummingbirds more than once in every couple of years here. A little processing would make this shot impressive. |

badger 126.JPGby icu1965Comment: This is an evocative image, because the fog is so heavy, and layered to just below the deck of the boat. There is a bit of mystery in the left edge, like maybe a piling almost got into the image. I can sense the cool dampness of the fog when I see this image. Thanks for the virtual visceral trip to the shoreline. |

macro27.jpgby icu1965Comment: Lenses make great macro subjects with their curves and engraved lettering. I see that you have a Canon film shooter. You can get adapters on fleaBay that will allow you to use the FD series lenses on the new digital Eos Canons, so don't ditch the great FD glass yet. |

Cork Screw - Day 25aby sherpetComment: The high contrast and the way the light moves around the item makes for interesting viewing. The diagonal angle across the image allows the thing to be larger too, which is good. |

A Twilight Mealby APComment: This is one of the nicest wild deer photos that I have seen. The deer looks totally relaxed, and in it's element, and the even light of twilight gives the whole scene a beautiful glow. The 20 mm perspective is just perfect also, as most shots like this have the compressed look of a long tele shot.
It was a fortunate moment for you to be able to get so close and have the equipment ready to get this shot. |

Titlelessby BeckyTComment: This is a wonderful image! You had an excellent concept, and you shot it just right. I also think that it would have ribboned if you had cropped it almost square, removing the bright area at the top. That way, the marble would grab your attention and focus. |

Ready to Rollby GermaineComment: What a cool looking image! I like the lines everywhere in this shot. The pipes on the left and shadow on the right, then the tiles and the walkway lines plus the square of the window go together, then the layered color too. It's a busy image, but very enjoyable to look around in for the details.
It's interesting how the bend in the lines match in the pipes, the scooter front end, and the shadow up the right edge. Message edited by author 2008-03-27 00:00:04. |
