Lovely textures in the sand and shells. The straight down angle keeps everything in the image sharp which is also very nice for this shot.

Great job with existing light, and congrats on the ribbon. Awesome for only your second submission. This shot raised your average score statistic quite a lot. : )

Lovely colors, and DOF makes it even more special. Sharp, with good fall off into the great bokeh. The one behind the front one leads gently into the bokeh area.

Nice catch! I have the same flowers growing in a flower bed near my driveway, but we don't see hummingbirds more than once in every couple of years here. A little processing would make this shot impressive.

This is an evocative image, because the fog is so heavy, and layered to just below the deck of the boat. There is a bit of mystery in the left edge, like maybe a piling almost got into the image. I can sense the cool dampness of the fog when I see this image. Thanks for the virtual visceral trip to the shoreline.

Lenses make great macro subjects with their curves and engraved lettering. I see that you have a Canon film shooter. You can get adapters on fleaBay that will allow you to use the FD series lenses on the new digital Eos Canons, so don't ditch the great FD glass yet.

I would have never guessed, since I don't eat avocado pears. I do have a 30 ft tall avocado tree in my back yard. They are toxic to parrots.

The high contrast and the way the light moves around the item makes for interesting viewing. The diagonal angle across the image allows the thing to be larger too, which is good.

These kitchen toys shots have been great graphics images. The jaws look huge in the image, but may be only small in reality.
