Forster's Ternby sfaliceComment: This is a nice selection of shots of this bird or birds. I have found that a monopod hooked in my belt allows me to pan easily and very smoothly when shooting flying birds like this. |

Across The Universeby IvoryComment: This is unique, and very creative to get it to look so believable with such simple editing steps. Your technique description reminds me very much of the days of silver and chemistry photography. The image is a very nice reality bender. |

Tarponby JuliBocComment: Whoa! That's a shot to grab some attention if you like to fish. The ol' "Silver King" is looking great in this shot. |

Repetitionby MaryOComment: Lines, form and color combine to make this place impressive. You've made a fine image here from start to finish. The difference in the foreground in the lower part adds quite a lot to the overall composition with the straight line from one side, and the angle line on the right.
There is a civil war fort out in the Gulf of Mexico that looks a lot like this inside the walls. It's one of my favorite places to visit. |

Magnificant twig on the mammalian treeby sfaliceComment: I think this is an awesome shot, and feel that the fog adds to the atmosphere of the image. Great example of being ready when the "right place at the right time" came along.
I see that it got a lot of flack about being a rather out on a limb connection to the challenge. |

JEFF-WAVE-001.jpgby jblaylockraynerComment: Big surf hitting shore is always an awe inspiring scene. You did a good job of getting this shot just right. It looks like you are about 3 milliseconds from being in a full run back toward the camera. |

Sunray of Lightby sherpetComment: This is a very good take on the way these trees look. The sunlight through the hole is a key feature in this too.
We have the same trees here, and call them "strangler figs". Birds drop the seeds on trees where they sometimes sprout, and eventually they kill the host tree. It gives the fig trees a great advantage over trees that have to grow from the ground up to get to the sunlight. |

Shhhh!by bergiekatComment: This is beautiful in color and detail. The blurred BG works nicely for this scene too. If you rotate it a little left, then crop down to just the neck area, you will have a humorous looking set of "kiss me" lips. Message edited by author 2008-08-29 23:20:26. |
