Beach - 1by JuliBocComment: Julianne, I knew that this was your work from just seeing the thumb, even before opening it. I knew from the colors and mix of shell and shapes that this was shot just above the tide line on the Gold Coast Beach. I like the combo of the shell and the little crab hole in the sand. The image reconnects me with happy days spent there long ago. Thanks for the reminder. |

utah.jpgby JerseyGenieComment: Nice take! It is good that you were there at a good time to get the low angle light, and the clouds behind the rock add a lot of depth. |

Monday Morningby Purple_GirlComment: I understand this scene. You are pretty harsh on yourself about the technical aspect of this. That's a good way to begin learning how to get exactly what you want. If you know what you don't like, then you begin to notice it more when you are composing or setting up for a shot.
This is not bad at all for a 10 minute shoot.
It's a good take on the challenge subject. |

A Moonlit Night With Ikeby bvyComment: This is a cool and rather spooky shot. I'm glad that you didn't get harmed while out in the wind and that the lights went out right on cue.
Congrats on a fine finish, and thank you for the thoughtful comment on my entry. |

Bowling is a Team Sportby timfythetooComment: Wow Tim! What a perfect moment. The desat helps a lot to make it seem to bring out the timeless quality of interacting children, and the suspense of the activity. |

And the Seaby zeuszenComment: This is nice, and connects on both the atmosphere and the human bond levels. The haze and surf make for a good sense of the seashore and the wind, and then the people give it good scale and interaction. Lack of color also helps to isolate the major elements and reduce distraction. |
