Only Way Outby HipychikComment: Excellent! Been there, done that, and it was a great education in human character. Two of us played music and lived in the Owasso/Chesaning area for about 6 months on the streets in a van. We left in a blizzard in Jan 74. It takes faith to be on the road like that with no security at all. |

DSCN0128.jpgby ShutterPugComment: It's amazing that the vignette in this image seems to be shrinking as I watch it. I could be just very tired since it is almost 2: am.
I like the grainy film like quality of the image very much though. |

A Walk in the Cloudsby KenComment: Cool shot. I though it was an oil rig in the thumb. Nice combo of color and geometry for this shot, and a little 180 twist thrown in for good humor as well. |

Oct 02.jpgby Mr_PantsComment: These look like very small "bolts" to me. Nice use of DOF to zero in on the details on the flats of just a couple of the items, so that the shot does not get too complicated.
You have to be careful when shooting bolts to not go nuts. : P |

macro_8462.jpgby HeiSchComment: Smaller aperture for more DOF would have helped a lot to make this more pleasing to view. I like the composition and the huge contrast, as well as the repeating shapes of the beads in the chain. |

_DSC0190.jpgby sulamkComment: This is a very interesting bug. I see several areas that I would like to see a lot closer. The vein pattern in the wings, or the rough area right behind the head would make great subjects. I do understand that you can't always get living critters to cooperate when you want to photograph them though.

macro---2.jpgby incubusComment: The color tones and rusty texture do nicely to give this the look that it has been in the weather a long time. It makes me wonder what the cable is holding. |

Mr. Elephant Beetleby sherpetComment: That is a very impressive looking critter. I like the clarity in this, especially in the hairs around the legs. In the thumb, I could not tell if the split in the seed pod right behind the head was part of the bug, but in the full size, I see that it is not.
I am happy to see you back to shooting in your garden again. |
