This idea would work good with an open blue sky background to bring out the leaves. It's interesting in this shot how it looks like the leaves are moving from the ground going upward to me. If your speedlight has the strobe (multiple flash) feature, you may get some unusual looking shots of leaves falling with several flashes.

I would never tire of seeing old barns. They are fast fading from the landscape. They are rare here as bulldozers and termites have taken most of them away long ago.

It's sort of tricky to get this sort of subject photographed so that it does not just look like a jumble of color and light. By using the one lone stalk in the foreground as a focal point, then the desat, you came through with a nice shot.

I see the smile in this. This is very sharp all over for f3.5 and 1/10 sec hand held. Even the wallpaper looks sharp in the BG. I like that you edited is so that the edit is not obvious.
