Warm Hatby bobonacusComment: Even though I can tell that it was cold outside, everyone looks bundled up and very comfortable in this shot. I like that you left the glove in the shot at the bottom right for this.
It's a nice shot of what grandparents live for. That lens sparkles in this shot for sharpness and bokeh. |

Do I HAVE to go outside?by SandyPComment: That is precious! The knit fabric helps to make it look like the pup is very loved at your house. What a sweet looking shot this is.
On a tech level, it looks like it was a little dark to begin with, or is over-sharpened a bit between the ears. It's going in my fav's anyway, just cause I like it so much. |

Stowe Churchby StarbananaComment: You made the best of a scene with huge contrast, with the bright snow at one end of the spectrum and the trees at the other. I like that you let the snow overexpose in order to keep detail and contrast working in the shadow areas. Doing this shot again by early or late day light or moonlight might work well. The overcast sky took away all the shadows which is a strangely interesting effect. |

Spikey berryby StarbananaComment: This is grand! The low angle light with the bit of orange in it is good contrast to the frozen white. |

Mt Shasta and Shasta Lakeby cogeroxComment: This is a wonderful scene Roger. Thanks for taking time to go get the shot to share with us. I am guessing that several commenters will mention the "reverse vignette" in the sky around the mountain.

Leafyby bobonacusComment: This idea would work good with an open blue sky background to bring out the leaves. It's interesting in this shot how it looks like the leaves are moving from the ground going upward to me. If your speedlight has the strobe (multiple flash) feature, you may get some unusual looking shots of leaves falling with several flashes. |

Sturdyby JeniYComment: I would never tire of seeing old barns. They are fast fading from the landscape. They are rare here as bulldozers and termites have taken most of them away long ago.

Godspeed, Karenby MaryOComment: You cannot see this and not feel the warmth and love between the two of them. Our friends and pets add love to our lives that we all share. |

mmm...sun...fish...mmmby cginoComment: She looks so serene and "cattent" in her little dream world. Nice combination of subjects, and good forward thinking to get this effect. |

Wetlands Winterby MaryOComment: It's sort of tricky to get this sort of subject photographed so that it does not just look like a jumble of color and light. By using the one lone stalk in the foreground as a focal point, then the desat, you came through with a nice shot. |
