Osprey-Familyby EnlightenedComment: Very nice! Great lighting and processing with this one. Good detail everywhere, and it has the Florida sky in the BG.

double crested cormorantby EnlightenedComment: Yes, I agree with the Anhinga group. They are quite a show when they spread their wings to dry out, with all the black and white alternating banding of feathers.
The top of the Cormorant's beak is hooked at the end. The Anhinga fishes by spearing the fish underwater, the Cormorant by grabbing the fish in it's beak underwater. |

Cattle Egret Roostby EnlightenedComment: It looks like you have visited my part of the world recently. Airboating is a great way to see wildlife, but as you said, you have to be ready if you want photos while underway.
There are a couple of egret roosts within 15 miles of where I live, and it's been interesting to photograph them with their eggs and babies over the last couple of weeks. Vawendy was here with her family the 4th and 5th and we had a great time out shooting this area. |

Out on a Limbby vawendyComment: I found it odd that we both shot photos for two solid days and didn't really shoot anything with solid leading lines in it. I guess we were just too distracted to think about shooting for the challenge at the time.
This is a pretty good one though. I like what cutout said. |

Succulentby ArnaMarieComment: The bright green just jumps out from the earthy colors in the rest of the image. That's a very nice color contrast.
I like the old treadle sewing machine stand in this one too. It adds an element of history to the scene. |

Pan-STARRS over Quincyby alfrescoComment: Beautiful shot. Is that a coal mine in the foreground? We don't get anything at all like the clear skies that you have there this time of year. It's fire season here, so the horizon is hazy in the evenings. |

no.13 - March 2013 - Anything Goes - katee & the horseby rozComment: Interestingly, this one makes me feel like i'm in the "danger zone" behind this horse.
I do like the way the horse is watching Katee. Does the horse have a name?
Did you use an effect/plug-in, or an overlay to get the pixel looking effect? |
