#1by bladComment: This is a "Wow" card shot. Story book cover was my first impression too. |

June 02 - Trainby hajekaComment: It's interesting that the graffiti matches the verticals on the door panels, as well as the stacks on the power plant in the BG. Good timing to get all of this to compose so nicely. |

Sacredby cginoComment: This is a winner. The "washed out bits" strengthen the power of the dark cloud over the church, and all the lines seem to meet at the door to the church. It's working, don't fix it : ) |

Rocky Mountainby gsalComment: I like the dark and bleak look of this shot. While looking at this daytime shot, it suddenly dawned on me that trees must be pretty rare in Iceland. |

_MG_3596_4_5.jpgby franktheyankComment: The POV is interesting in this shot, because the lines of the bridge frame the village, and also lead right to the bridge of the freight boat. You don't say where this is, but I am guessing it's somewhere in New England. Detail is good in this shot. |

Flowersby turnofthesueComment: The processing did a lot for this shot. It grabs your attention in the finished image. |

Picture Postcardby GermaineComment: This seems to have that soft glow that so many of your evening and low light shots have. The sky seems right for the scene too. |

Prickly Pearby BalkoComment: We have prickly pear here in Florida too. They seem to grow best where the soil is sandy and too dry for anything else. The low angle to get the sky behind the cacti helps to isolate the subject in this shot. Their blooms are very pretty too, but this one is past that stage. The local Latinos
eat the flat "leaves". One of the places that I work was working on a thorn-less variety to try to market.
The biggest and thorniest ones that I have ever seen were on an isolated island in the Bahamas. |

Socorro Peakby cginoComment: Composition is good in this because of your POV and the clouds completing the horizontal lines theme. That works nicely with the pan and keeps the flow going from one edge to the other. I like the color contrasts as well. |
