I have been inside the gondola on one of these when it was using the local airport as a base for nearby events. it's quite a trick to land one.
They make the coolest sound when they are traveling. This has good detail for the range and lens combination.

This is a good perspective shot. To the right of where the girl is sitting, does it say " This is not a seat"? The hard edge processing works nicely here too.
It's interesting that in photography, we went from looking at a screen to frame the shot, then looking thru a peep hole, and now back to where looking at a screen is an option.

This is quite a shot, with the way the painting blends into the street on the left. It's sort of an illusion. Good find, and you framed the shot just right.

DOF with the 105 2.8 M N rocks. I use an old manual one on my Fuji, and love it.

We have stockyards here in Florida too, but the ones here are still in service. It's interesting that your wife's ancestor was a cattleman and pioneer. My great great grandfather Capt F A Hendry was both as well, with a herd of about 36,000 head at it's peak. That's a lot of bull LOL. : )
