Black Bears - Chapleauby in2truthComment: I think that you made the right decision to get back into the car, even though they may not have been upset about you being there. |

yellowbilled egretby sulamkComment: You got this one at a very nice angle. I like that the bird is sharp, and the BG has just enough sharpness to be able to tell what is there without being a big distraction. That's a heavy duty lens that you shot this with. |

LX3womanonpier.jpgby dagaleaaComment: This is a very popular angle to shoot this pier, and around Jan, the sun set is right in line with it. That sky looks like it was about to be a cold night by Florida standards.
I like the composition in this shot, and the bit of red reflection off the pilings. Sunsets skies like this can make marvelous photos if you have a tripod, and wait until the sky gets that awesome royal blue in it. That is usually about ten to twenty minutes after the actual sunset. |

Peter's Creek - Day 3by idnicComment: I see the little bit of wire in the top right corner, which must be the reason that you didn't get the tops of the trees over the RR bridge. It's a very typical Florida "river or creek" in the shot. This is a very pretty spot, and I would guess that it is even better when conditions are just right for shooting. I feel at home looking at this image. |

2 Give Bloodby karmatComment: The shot looks pretty good to me. If you feel like the focus is a problem, make sure that the lens is good and clean. I use alcohol and a q tip, then finish by condensing my breath on the lens and wipe with a clean q tip. I bought a nice P&S cheap at a pawn shop because the lens was smudged and it would not focus right.
That's a cool combo, with the county name and the bat for the blood drive. |

Green iguanaby TammsterComment: Seeing the light from below like this, you must have been near water or white sand or both when you got this shot. The one leg and foot add a lot of interest, and lead to the eye and face, and the focus actually works to do the same. These critters are also pretty common in the lower Florida Keys, where they have gone wild from being pets. People there don't like them because they eat almost every flower that they can get to. |

_MG_1016.jpgby sfmorrisComment: It's very easy to over expose white birds. The sky reflected in the water gives a fine contrast to the all white plumage of the swan. I don't believe that there are any swans at all within about 30 miles of where I live. |

Catbirdby MaryOComment: The shallow DOF is very right for this. The POV gives a nice perspective of the subject. Good shot. |
