Deep DOF Outtake 1by LutchenkoComment: This would be my choice of the four shots that you posted. The subject is more interesting, and the light is good on them. It's a nice scene, and the lines in the foreground although not that attractive, do guide you up to the swans and the row of trees. The sky looks good too. |

Dreaming of a white christmasby NorthStarComment: I don't know what was around the tree, but a square crop including the whole tree may have made this work better. Still, it's an image that I like a lot and don't know exactly why. Maybe It's because we never have ice like this in Florida.

get your kicks...by desertoddityComment: What a cool and retro looking old diner/gas station. You've made the most of your timing to get the daylight to balance the neon so nicely, and processing is superb with the pastel look. |

Haven't figured out what he is yetby scottiehamComment: Oh Cool! A "Yellow Bellied Buzz Off" bird! LOL It looks like he is wanting to tell you to buzz off with that big lens.
It's a good shot, and most interesting that the shadow of his beak is almost on the centerline of his breast. I hope you find out what it really is soon. |

Blow hole at Blowing Rocksby TammsterComment: I am so happy that they made this place a preserve. It is such a cool place to watch the ocean. I found it surprising how little wave action it takes to make the water gush out of the hole in the rocks like that. There are some places like this in the Bahamas too. The Glass Window, on Eluthera Island has something similar. Thanks for the memory with the two shots. |
