Sutter Buttes Sunrise and Fogby cogeroxComment: The calm water was a stroke of luck in getting this scene to look so nice. I do the same sort of shooting when I am driving around. I will stop to get the shot when most people would just look and keep on driving. You live in a wide open and beautiful part of the world. |

Swamp Breathby ChapmanStaplefordComment: The elements came together nicely for this shot. You will have a tough time topping this one. What a grand start.

-by GermaineComment: This shot has those gentle colors that are your trademark sky shot treatment. This one looks a lot like a film image, very cool and retro looking. |

pumpkin-fieldsby ScooterMcNuttyComment: That's a lot of pumpkins. The low angle of the sunlight helps to make the pumpkins show up in this shot. |

Moonset over West Beach No. 2by GermaineComment: Nice scene, and well shot. In my moon shot experiments, I have found that using tungsten or incandescent W/B gives a nice blue glow to the sky, and improves the colors in street lighting.
I want to be there! : ) |

Got Lots of Dots by ErikVComment: What a beautiful shot of this Madagascar Giant Day Gecko. The colors in this shot are exactly as they look when you are looking at a live one.
I had one for over a year. I kept him in a terrarium with a top made of screen with holes about the size of a pencil. He lived outside, and at night I would leave a light on over the cage where bugs could get in for him to eat. He tried to eat a beetle that got in, and choked on it : P |
