My first thought was "Government Stupidity Office" LOL.
It does look like an old film shot. With all the "noise/grain" it looks like ASA 1600 push processed to ASA 3200, then cropped. It's not a bad effect for some things.
I see that this was a one way street.

This must have been one of those good moments when an animal seems to want you to get some pix of it. Foxes are not very common here, and usually if you see one, it's running the other way.

We get this kind of sky once in a while, however, it's usually late in the day when it happens here. It's good that you got some shots of it that you may be able to use later.

That looks like an interesting place to be, just to see the decorations and photos on the walls.
There is nothing at all wrong with using your iPhone for snapshots. Processing would be totally beyond my tech level, so this is a sort of "here's what can be done with iPhone" shot. I have a tough time working out how to get the ringer to work on my Nextel LOL.
I like the "Gothic Glow" treatment for this.

This is a neat little slice of "Americana". The B&W and that there is nothing in the image to date it beyond the mid 60's makes it intriguing. I probably would have processed it with more contrast, but this looks like a shot on an overcast day or late in the day.

With the leading flash, and the forward trailing, it looks like he is driving 90 mph backward, which makes it even cooler.

Day 5 - Snapshot Side Challenge

I like the way the squiggles are lit on the coral, and the blue green watery quality of the light.
My first instinct was to look for lobster antennae LOL.
The big brain coral are great hiding places for Florida lobster (crayfish). They get hollow inside, and the lobster love to hide in them. Two guys with diving gear can get a sack full of lobsters in 10 minutes if you know how to team work.
That's a strange looking fish.
