Headed Homeby drdab99Comment: I think the top is a bit overexposed, but it's a great shot - I like the rays coming down, the color of the grass and horse - I wish s/he wasn't headed OUT of the picture, however. 7 |

Bad Hair Dayby SonifoComment: Just a wonderful shot - too similar to the triptych from not long ago to be spectacular, though. Great shot! |

Overlookby wdebeau1Comment: What a great place! The fog/mist rising up is great and the dark vs light works well here. It seems a little low contrast - like there are no real blacks in here...maybe? |

We Need Guns, Lots of Guns...by AnachroniteComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Hi Jeff!
Composition
Amazing amount of weaponry! I thought this was just for movie layouts - how did you accumulate such a stock to shoot (*photographically that is*)
Color
None. Nice whiting out the background.
Lighting
The lighting is a bit strong, to white it all out - but it's not a problem.
Subject matter
Excellent choice, having seen the second.
Overall
I'm not sure why this shot finished so low! I don't see a major focus issue and the exposure fits the scene. I blame it on people not seeing 2 yet. Happy shooting!

Matrix IIby JakComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Hi Jak!
Composition
I like the curve against the straight lines here. The composition leads us into and out of the picture, which is alright.
Color
Hate the post processing - I think devart and photosig are a lot more welcoming to the digital art than dpc - we (me too) tend to dislike "art" and focus as much as we can on "photography." I guess it helps this shot tie into your theme more, but I think it's too much.
Subject matter
Not sure how this is matrixy except the post processing.
Overall
Your score reflected my opinion of this shot - you do some of the best work on dpc, so I am not going to waste your time trying to explain why I think you finished down here. Happy shooting, can't wait to see some more stuff from ya.

Control - Today's Matrixby ScottKComment: Greets from the Crit Club
You have had a lot of feedback since you posted about this shot, so I will quickly tell you what I think. I think it's the back of some dude's head and I can't tell what's on the other side, computer, television, whatever - and I don't get the connection to "Today's Matrix" because the Matrix is our entire lives..not what holds our attention. But you know now everything you need to about this shot. Happy shooting in the future! |

Access Grantedby 'PongComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Hi Trinn!
First of all, I can't believe someone figured out what this was!
Composition
Ok, the composition is a strong area for this shot - it's one of those "holy cow, how'd they do that?!" shots. I like the feel and the way everything looks. I would have cut dude's hair a little straigher but that's just me.
Color
Obviously you said in your comments that you hued it to be more Matrixy and you got it there. Nice neon greens.
Lighting
I wish the top was more like the bottom, actually. I don't like the harsh light on top, but I do love the overall lighting here.
Subject matter
Very nice visualization ahead of time. Excellent use of the Matrix theme.
Overall
Overall so you had a helluva good shot. Excellent finish and nice work. Happy shooting!

ride on yellow and purpleby GotchyaComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Hi JL!
Composition
Actually the composition is where I think this shot is both weakest AND strongest. I LOVE the leading line. Absolutely adore it. I hate that the people are faced the other way though, riding away from us and out of the top of the photo. The framing at the top is exceptional and well done.
Color
I love shots that are just "oh wow you found this naturally." And you did - it's like the 26 Things scavenger hunt that's coming up - this is a good shot for that!
Lighting
The shadows are a bit long and the tracks are a bit bright - overall, not a bad exposure for this shot, however.
Subject matter
Finding complementary colors in nature is hard - you found it, almost missed it, and caught it leaving. Nice capture and interesting subject. Better than flowers, for sure. ;)
Overall
Nice shot, too bad everyone didn't see the good in it. Happy shooting!
