Outrunning the Rainby JuliBocComment: A really interesting capture - but I think it will suffer as it's not clear on the thumbnail what it is and sadly too many people cherry pick from the thumbnails. |

Racing Trafficby hammersamComment: A shot that has grown on me. I wonder whether it would have had more impact if he was wearing brighter clothing. The black shirt almost loses him in the picture.
Nice crop, and motion panning though. |

Porsche Spyderby kolasiComment: Great cars the Porche spyders.
My only problem with this one is that it's neither moving fast - nor slowly. In fact it's not moving at all and the challenge is titled 'Speed' :- )
The cars colours stand out nicely against the dark parking lot. |

Mr. Slowskyby taterbugComment: Such wonderful creatures tortoises . .
For me greater saturation and a tighter crop would have made this a punchier shot. |

let your mind flows freelyby btrinhComment: Well I followed your advice - let my mind flow freely, and it flowed out, looked around, peeked behind the sofa, stared out the window and finally came back. However I still have no idea what this is, or symbolises.
It looks like an interesting abstract - but does it convey speed to me ? Not really. I shall let my mind out for another little wander later and see if that helps at all :- ) |

“Speed provides the one genuinely modern pleasure.” - Aldous Huxleyby LonzComment: very stylised shot. There are a number of elements in this that I really like and think they work well together to give the shot some real punch.
Such as the vignette in the mirror of the drivers face - not all of his face, just enough - the whole rotated cropto give strong diagonals and the drivers arm in the top left of the picture.
This is a powerful shot, and I hope people take the time to look at it properly. |

Cruisin @ 60by rugman1969Comment: A nice clear shot with converging lines leading the viewers eye into the picture, but I think personally I would like to have actually seen some sort of reason for being drawn into the picture - a clear focal point.
Nothing wrong with the shot though, and it clearly meets the challenge. |
