very stylised shot. There are a number of elements in this that I really like and think they work well together to give the shot some real punch.

Such as the vignette in the mirror of the drivers face - not all of his face, just enough - the whole rotated cropto give strong diagonals and the drivers arm in the top left of the picture.

This is a powerful shot, and I hope people take the time to look at it properly.

A nice clear shot with converging lines leading the viewers eye into the picture, but I think personally I would like to have actually seen some sort of reason for being drawn into the picture - a clear focal point.

Nothing wrong with the shot though, and it clearly meets the challenge.

The Out: Fast Runner, Faster Ball

This has grown on me from when I first viewed it.

While it's obviously nice to have captured the ball in the shot, what really works for me is the diagonal it forms between the ball entering top left, and the catcher waiting for it bottom right. The shot is perfectly cropped to keep both players in the frame forming another lower diagonal running bottom left to mid right, and the triangle of grass shows that there is more outside of this picture than just brown dirt.

The figures are crisp and clear, and have a natural tension between the one running and frozen in time, and the other frozen waiting for the ball to make it's way down the picture.

Or at least that's how I see it :- )

Ideally I would like to have seen a bit more dust and dirt behind it, but that said the car couldn't be any crisper, and the colours offset the brown track perfectly. Really nice.
