strong image - almost a little dark - I think it is the starkness of the picture at the top of the stairs.

Beautiful bird.

My only question is whether this actually conveys speed ? With the wings largely staionary and no reference points in the background it shows a great shot of a hummingbird, but speed . . or does it show hovering? and is hovering speed or lack of it? Not sure.

That said it is only my opinion and it is certainly a lovely shot.

I like the bold simplicity of the shot with the red against a white background, and I like the positioning of the mixer so that you can see both the movement of the whisk, and the speed control.
