The 'Yawney' Owlby JedusiComment: Originally posted by LevT: fantastic shot! I am not sure it's a yawn - it looks to me like he (or she?) is shouting at you |
Ok - it's a fair cop . . it's artistic license . .
It was actually a hand reared owl that was sitting demanding attention . . it was really quite funny. It would sit fluffed up and peering out through almost shut eyes until it judged there was enough people about, then shout out a couple of times to get peoples attention before sitting back smugly :- )
That explanation makes a lousy title though :- )

Sunset over the Cosmosby Pug-HComment: Really interesting idea, well worked, and good result.
With that angle of curvature you could have renamed it 'the Green Planet' lol. |

The Sky is Fallingby whiteroomComment: Lesley - love the title and the soft muted colours here.
I think this is a really great shot, the problem is it takes a moment to actually absorb it and enjoy it. That loses you all the voteres that flick through :- (
If the rain could have been a tiny bit clearer I think it would have helped people understand the whole picture more - but great shot nevertheless.
You're just too subtle for some folk :- ) |

A great timeless shot that could have been taken anytime in the last 100 years. Great composition, lighting and crop.
