Unanswered Prayersby CharleneComment: Powerful emotion - hope this isn't a personal reflection.
My first reaction is that the door on the left should have been cropped out - but you need it for the sign to explain what you are looking into.
Strong shot. Not sure it will score well though. Good luck. |

Nemo the dogby robstComment: Nice happy poodle.
The colours and contrast seem a little washed out, and the brightness of the toy is a little distracting - but it's a nice capture of the dog :- ) |

Nude Studyby kvickreyComment: Nice lighting and technicals - but for me this isolates one portion of a body too much and so takes away from the whole person sitting there.
Nicely taken though. |

Shuffling Into Oblivion Reduxby timfythetooComment: I like the rotation with the point of the parasoll aiming into the corner, and the bright red splash of colour in the centre of the picture as a counterpoint to the more muted autumnal tones. |

Way out of Hereby CorySmithComment: What a fabulous picture.
It took me a while to figure out what I was looking at as it was like looking into some sort of eye. But in a sense it is almost looking out of an 'eye' into a world beyond.
There's a whole dynamic tension here generated between the technology surrounding the viewer and the timeless face of the earth below. This could be a spacecraft taking pictures of Mars or any other distant arrid world.
This gives the viewer a portal to a quite different place.
Great shot - completely different. |
