Good idea to desat to remove some of the background clutter, but inevitably hard to get rid of all of it and those straight lines still make the background a little 'busy' |

Nice crop and composition with both the hat brim and far arm forming gentle diagonals, while the head stays in the 'rule of thirds'. |

Nice clean capture of a gull though - often a lot harder to achieve than people realise ! and nice backlighting through his tail.
