Sea gulls are among my favorite birds to photograph and I love to come across well done shots like this one. The oof tree and the vignetting, coupled with the silvery hues, all combine to make this an excellent capture.

How can you tell he's 'soar' ? Is it the way he's carefully holding his legs apart

- or just the pained look on his face :- P

Nice clean capture of a gull though - often a lot harder to achieve than people realise ! and nice backlighting through his tail.
