Day 12 Croppedby tinky2Comment: Well, this is learning experience for me: I prefer the uncropped, maybe because the horizontals are fine as they are, and the picture needs to be square. And maybe you just knew what you were doing the first time. Or maybe just a tiny bit off the top to allow the ripples to complete their curve. Message edited by author 2007-11-14 00:13:46. |

Day 13by tinky2Comment: I find this quite interesting. On the one hand an abstract composition, on the other a real scene with fantastic sky and water, and just a light touch of detail in the fore-scrubbery (well, it looks more like scrub than shrub) whose overall pinky rusty red repeats blurredly in the far curve(s). Not to get carried away: I guess it is the contrast between the glassy blue and the textured scrub. |

Nov 13. Rainbow IIby hajekaComment: Like the way rainbow lands on the horizon of buildings and trees. Don't suppose you have enough detail to do a really tight crop of just rainbow and that horizon? |

TownshipPond3Web1.jpgby cogeroxComment: Like texture, composition and light. And I know the colours are right, but they don't do enough. (I could be way out of line here, but I have never been able to get the greens and browns to work for me. Maybe my monitor.)
Edit: been thinking about this and am looking again - I may have been way off about the colours: everything changes when I tilt my monitor. Must be something to this photo to make me obsess... Message edited by author 2007-11-14 15:01:55. |

Nov 12 - Heronsby hajekaComment: Agree cloning out better than cropping. (I don't know how to clone yet, so cropping is my first weapon). |

Day 12by tinky2Comment: Well, I did want to stand on my head. This is amazing. Would crop a little less than an inch off the top to keep the horizontals strong, and maybe make things even more difficult for husbands around the world. The apparently intent, full speed ahead expression on the bird plays an important part here. |

Nov 12 - Heronsby hajekaComment: Yeah, I know about the heron thing (most I ever got was 3), but I like this shot for showing the whole scene, the geese, the woods, the stream meandering away. Might crop off the bottom a bit, centre reflection a bit distracting. |
