Week 4by muz64Comment: Heck, I love this the way it is. Maybe my screen is too bright, but these dark tones work for me, and contrast very nicely with the white cup and white shirt. (I'm not a histogram believer, but then I'm not a prize winning photographer either). And if stalking is what it takes to get an expression and moment like that, stalk away. |

use your head!by Ecce_SignumComment: I'd a thought this was pretty good, and it is sparklingly zany, had I not seen the other. |

Sunday Afternoonby tnunComment: Thanks for all your great comments. Originally not a great photo - plastic on the windows, ugly window division, ill-defined dried flowers; converting to BW minimized some of this, and cropping brought out what I felt the dog felt, which is also what I used to feel about Sunday afternoon as a child. (Of my work on DPC, this and 'Lady' are the two I feel best about). |

ONEby electrolostComment: Sharp focus on Goosey, billtip to webtoe and the ground whereon he stands against the blurred bg, and the wonderful definition within his whites delightfully emphasize his quirky random moment in the universe. (Not to compete with Pineapple or Posthumerus). If I had anything definitive to say about the background I'd be a better photographer than I already am, but looking at your alternate Goosey where the bg is more in focus I am tempted to suspect you might think it provided some of the same context it did there. But I applaud the negative space. |

Cat Calendarby cginoComment: I loved the Maui poster - brilliant colours streaking here and there, set off against the black - something you could enjoy as an abstract. Here I am confused by the overlay and framing: the strength is in your cats, and the way you have caught their eyes, different postures and settings. I would think vignetting or haloing if anything. (Maybe hard to judge coming from the big splash of Maui!). |

#3 Vaseby SonifoComment: From the thumbnail I thought this would be interesting but I wasn't sure about the vignetting, but now I see it, everything seems to be very well put together, even the frame working with the composition. Excellent use of black, turning the whites into ice/diamonds. |
