Fresh Apples!by danielcheong1974Comment: Great apples and lighting. (But I want to nitpick; your background material is just not doing you any favours. I do believe that backdrops are tremendously important although I very very very rarely come up with anything satisfactory myself, and that they are part of the art and discipline). |

Lucid Eloquenceby artvetComment: Very fine. Not sure about the frame, and not sure means not sure: I wonder if the light line in it is just too light, as I am finding it distracting and/or competing with the wonderful subtle light tones in the photo. |

Food Basketby lemeryjComment: I like the lighting and the basket and the dark. Perhaps there is just a little too much contrast, and there could be more space above. |

Fruits & Vegetablesby choltmeierComment: Lovely arrangement and light. No mean accomplishment considering the number of fruits/vegetables which have significant tops/stems and bottoms AND having the light do justice to both these features and the textures overall. (Enjoyed your description of getting the natural light right - I prefer natural light and have done a few similar things but not with your thoroughness nor indeed your result). It is just possible that a slight shift in hue from blue to yellow would give this the classic feel that your assemblage suggests. Oh, and I don't notice the dust, but that might be my own survival tactic. |

Toronto; Handle with Care. (Single shot, No Editing)by Shutter-For-HireComment: Wizard concept. I do like the box and the excellent cow town, and the harsh light serves a purpose, but I think the composition of box and shadow and backboard could be played with- thinking a closer crop top and left - just a suggestion only because box and view are powerful. |
