Also strong but subtle contrast of the figure against the background verticals, he being vertical but for the beard(?) of his mask and his hind(?) leg. And his thin shadow. |

What !by crikComment: Agree with Iraklis' description of the expressions. This is a very self-contained composition, and I am very taken with the light and dark treatment which in my amateur opinion contributes significantly to the self-containment and story of the expressions. |

When I clicked on the picture and title it all came back in an instant. But this is a wonderful find and another of your great compositions of light and shadow and line. |
