Flightby BAMartinComment: Yo, this is sweet. The pope bird blessing his cardinals. |

40 - Characterby BudComment: The angle, the light, and the tones truly deliver the character in the face. Not everyone has to smile, and I think we are often mistaken in our reading of an unsmiling face. I see a woman who knows her own thoughts. |

birdboat.jpgby IraklisComment: Trying to think of some moral or classical reference for this scene. It doesn't quite fit the Odyssey, unless this describes where you and your recently fired coworkers might be, and the bird on the rock augers better for you all than you now imagine.
(Maybe not the place, but felicitations on your marriage. I trust your wife is the beautiful woman who reminds me of Irene Pappas - if not, you need your head examined and I will never look at your photos again).

pregnantby IraklisComment: I've looked at this several times. The great drawing powers of both composition and emotion seem to amplify each other and make something new, but I cannot say what it is. It just makes you look more. |

Psych Wardby bvyComment: And the expression seems to have a slight twang as well! Fun shot, central figure nicely framed/buttressed by female figure on one side, poster guy on the other. - Really appreciate your sharing more of your m.o. - you ARE stealthy! |

Nighthawkby citymarsComment: Beauty. I am so taken with the posture of the man and the way his coat drapes over his back and falls almost skirtlike around the stool. Beautiful colour, wonderful framing and composition - everything Saker has said. |

Alone In A Crowdby bvyComment: That IS nice focus. (Please don't call your camera cheap - it is one of the better little digicams, made before they got really cheap and less in IQ and adjustable features!)
I like the details your focus gives us - the weave of the man's pants, the manicured nails on the figure in the long black whatever, and even the details in the buildings, delivering a wonderful breadth of context.
(Okay, I will say it. Possibly he is picking his nose! It reverberates with a recent picture on the Photokina thread of the Canon guy doing just that, and set back my own plans to upgrade to a Canon DSLR). |

00001CFL_0623.jpgby ericwooComment: I like this best of your group posts. Saker esplains it better than I would have, though I think he meant "title" not "tile." And the fountain is magic. Would like to see some exposure particulars. |

Edenby JuliBocComment: I like the bigger size (but don't tell Eric)! And yes it has more pop, but it makes the greyness of the falls greyer. I liked the original fine, and was quite taken with the subdued quality which gave it a distinctness. One suggestion might be to tone down whatever you did to give it pop just ever so slightly: could be my monitor but the whites are almost blown. |
