Very nice capture. It is just a little too shallow for my taste (mainly just the left eye). I do like the shallow DOF and soft focus though. You did very well selectively sharpening the hair. Wonderful low key portrait.

I would have voted higher if the camera was also in focus. I think more DOF would have made it more interesting for me. It is satisfying to remember my old SLR. Great lighting and composition and creatively meeting the challenge. I wonder why more people didn't do SLR on a photography challenge?

I don't like the fact that the cpu is cut off where it is. It seems uninteresting to me. I do like the lighting and it certainly meets the challenge so above average.

It is a great capture with those tap roots making the double helix. I love the earthy natural tones. The only thing I don't like is that the plant is floating. I would like it to have something to rest on. Great idea and lighting.

I love the bird flying toward the center of the photo and the deer running into it....very balancing. I also like the debth with the mountains in the background (although I would have like to been able to see more of them. Great tie in to the title too. Very well done.
