The road to freedomby onarComment: I love the way you took the mundane and made a great photo by using not only rule of thirds, but balance, color, s curve and lines....I'm guessing this was a bike race or something since the road is marked like that? If it was, that is brillant to include only one lone biker..a bunch woudn't have been as good IMO. Anyway, I'm rambling...10 |

My Ancestorsby GiorgioComment: I really like the content of this.....The sky's gentleness matches the farmers so well. They have a lot of work yet huh? Anyway, thanks for the photo - 10 |

band2by fredahenryComment: Freda, I like it but....do you have any of him full body? I mean the guitar is probably pretty important in the shot but is cropped? I liked his pose in better...
I typically wouldn't suggest a brighter sky, but perhaps in this shot it would create an interesting contrast?
Anyway, I like both shots and you did a great job! |

Band1by fredahenryComment: Hey Freda, great job! What is up with that guys expression on my far right? It doesn't seem to match the others! It is pretty easy to copy and paste a face from another take if you want...but maybe that fits his personally and is perfect. It just looks really odd to me!
I kinda like the stark white contrast of the sky and I like how you have balanced the dark shirts and white shirts. That composition really creates tension between the band members on the left and right...was that intentional? Does it go along with an album name or the bands name? |

"If a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her..."by jasonlpriceComment: Thank you all for your comments. This was actually a pretty basic editing job. The only thing "expert" I did was add a little texture to the pure black background. The rest of the editing was all "advanced" legal, such as selective USM, levels, dodge and burn. The soft hair was caused by Sarah spinning in the chair, not shallow DOF. This was shot at f8 1/40.
Nothing fake about this shot..... Message edited by author 2007-04-25 08:20:44. |

A Loving Homeby jasonlpriceComment: I just wanted to thank everyone for such wonderful comments. This was a self portrait with me and my wife that I setup. I wanted to make it look as non voyeuristic as possible but still get the point across. |

Domestic Chain Gangby WeefanComment: I agree with Sandy, I gave this a 9 and it truly outstanding! I am floored that this didn't average over 6...I fully expected it to be on the front page. 17 votes 4 and under? You were definitely robbed! |
