I'm not totally clear on the dappled light definition and whether or not the light thru the blinds counts. Anywho, what I do like about this photo tho is how you've balanced out the white and bright with the beautiful red of the roses.

It's a cute idea and I cannot believe all the work you put into creating the background lol. You will find in time that voters do not like artsy filters here beyond either Photomatix or any HDR stuff. Another one of yours that I do not understand why it scored so low. I like how the focus is on the camera in the viewfinder. I also like the shadow because it lends some kind of eerie feel to the camera as well. Excellent shot. Should have scored higher.
