Great story. That's what I love about kids - they do such a good job of reminding us how interesting life is. This photo does a nice job of conveying her energy at that moment.

I love how you have kind of framed her with the white horizontal line and the upright green poll on the right. lol love the candid pose.

That is incredibly wonderful that she loves to write. I am amused by the fact that she has a dictionary there with her. No doubt that she probably knows a lot more words than i do lol.

Very beautiful! Love the reddish/orangeish glow. I'm always fascinated by that tiny circle that you can see sometimes on closeups of the moon. I am sure it is much more fascinating to see this in person. Be glad you can do this!

I almost left a comment on this during the challenge but ran out of time. I gave this a 6. I love the lighting on the fern. The detail and texture on the leaves is beautiful. The only thing I did not like was the blurred out leaf on the right. It seemed out of balance with all the other leaves. However, excellent choice for black and white!

Congrats on the score! Beautiful photo. I gave it a 7. I love the black and white and love all the lines in it. The angled corridor is pretty cool. I'm glad you got to take some pics on your "vacation". :)

50Day29: Rain Runner

Considering that the voters in street photography would really just like to see a street, I think this would have done quite well.

Did you do any selective desat? The color on the runner makes him stand out from the rest of the photo, which is nice because it's subtle enough to make sure he is the main focus of the photo.

Nice choice for black and white. I like that the texture of the metal shows thru. The other thing i find interesting is the window. Or what is behind the window. A window design or metal grating for protection?

I have to say that I am surprised by how big this whole Michael Vick thing has become. First, he's an idiot for doing what he has done. Especially given his status in society. But second, this stuff goes on all the time in the south, why aren't the feds running after more of the people who are doing this? With all the publicity this has gotten, it makes me think of a witch hunt in a sense, where once Vick gets convicted, it will all die down and all the others in the dog fighting venue will carry on as they always have.

Sorry, this has been on my mind for a while and your pic made me blurt this out.
