Isn't it Ironicby grigrigirlComment: Is this a photo for a wedding album? I thought this was so cool and wow what a fun one to have for that day. I love the neon color scheme - it gives off a great night on the town feel. To have her face centered and framed like that is fascinating. |

Daisy-0031by RedDotComComment: First - the detail you captured on the petals is excellent! They look so soft and the clarity of the picture makes me feel like I can actually reach out and touch them. Now I have a question about your processing. Did you use some kind of dodging on the center part of the flower? The dark area, dead center, pulled my eyes in and then I started looking just above and it looks like a white haze there. Like something is not quite right - but not so wrong that it ruins the picture. It's just something I noticed. Excellent job with the lighting! |

The Great Leapby CharleneComment: I didn't vote or enter in this challenge but I will say that I had a pic ready to go - and it was of a swing! lol I like how you have the top of the swing coming diagonally into the picture. I also like the criss-cross of the moving swings. Parts of the seats do blend into the background, but what ya gonna do? I also like the contrast of the ground - it really brings out the texture of the wood shavings. |

In Ice, Light, and Shadowby colorcarnivalComment: Originally posted by dfstevenson: Does not meet the definition of framing. I hope that you learn from viewing the entries of your competition |
I hope others who see this comment will see that this approach (of doing only what the competition does) is very narrow-minded. I say use the competition for inspiration but don't use it to limit your creativity. Message edited by author 2008-01-30 00:06:57. |

Weee k 1by SonifoComment: What a priceless photo! I love seeing the joy on their faces. And so much clarity in this photo! That is awesome that you captured so much detail in the snow without blowing anything out. What a fun picture! |

Week 04by hajekaComment: heh - when i have to watch a hockey game, it's played on ice and in a flippin cold arena! I think I'd much rather watch this.
I may have to get a Canon one day. The low noise level at ISO 1600 is amazing. Mine would be horrible. A lot of components have great clarity in this and I think it's fun that we can see the ball(?) too. Great action capture. |

Week1 - Is It Feeding Time Yet?by CapeSailComment: Like everyone else has said - love how the horse has turned to pose for you. This may not work, but I would have actually liked to see a closer crop to get more detail on the horse's face. This is coming from an animal fan so take it for what it's worth. :) |

Contre-jour Silhouette (b&w 2008 #1)by nikolaosComment: Oooh artsy! This is something that would not get enough appreciation in a challenge. I love the editing done on the face. I would want to see the brightly lit house in the background toned down a smidge because it competes with the woman's face for attention. |

by MephistoComment: I love that there are so many different areas of light. It's like a tease. The streaming diagonal light is cool. Then you have the rooms in the background , and the light from downstairs. It forces you to look all over to see what else is hidden here. I like it! |

Beach Dreamsby AliciaComment: Oh I must have voted too fast because I do not remember this while voting. I love the dreamy, soft effect. It looks like the people there are floating on a cloud. This is so cool! |
