Segull over the seaby sarsonukComment: The gulls have rather got lost in this photo. A narrower depth of field might have helped isolate them a little. The alternative is waiting (and waiting, and waiting, if necessary) until they are closer to you so that they can feature more prominantly sizewise. |

Hatchlingby jpetersComment: Obviously not in the wild - unless you live somewhere where birds are nesting, and you had the foresight to set up nest cameras! Nonetheless, a truly interesting photograph. I look forward to reading what sort of bird this is, and the story behind the photo. |

Closeby VuurVliegieComment: Good composition, interesting and aesthetically pleasing pose of the two zebras, and a background giving context. Good work. |

Sleeping Geeseby emily212Comment: Golly, this looks bleak! The three geese balance the composition well, but it is a bit of a shame something has crept into the very top of the frame - I would be tempted to crop it out. I do wonder if the photo might be more successful if you adopted a lower vantage point? |

'sparrow'by suemackComment: I like that you chose this perspective - guess you must have been lying completely flat on the grass. I am curious to know what length of lens you used; whatever it was, you have very successfully given the appearance of closeness and immediacy. |

Scarlet Macawby ladpupmoeComment: A good crisply focussed portrait, with an interseting pose, but let down slightly by the background. I would have liked to have seen a little more of the macaw's environs in order to give context to the photo. |

Ducks in the Mistsby NikonJebComment: I would have preferred the focus to be on the duck standing in the foreground, with it gradually tapering off towards the house. |
