Thank God I'm A Country Boy!by w0fcmComment: Cute - both the baby, and the pose. I like the lighting. Seems to be a bit of a tilt - wonder if you rotated a few degrees anti-clockwise it might help? |

Steel, Steam & Manby FirstyComment: This photograph certainly draws the viewer in - I can almost hear the sound of the engine, and smell the coal! |

I call this, 'Sparrow With Concussion'.by Beautiful-JoeComment: Focus is on the bird (sparrow?) and the depth of field is just right, giving a hint of the background but allowing the viewer to concentrate completely on the bird, which is the subject. The composition is sound, with space to the left, giving the bird space to 'look in to'.
You have the basis of a good photograph here, Joe - it just needs a few tweeks to give it a little more punch:
Small crop to reduce the amount of rock at the bottom of the picture
Slight levels adjustment, to give more punch
UnSharp Mask at 54%, 0.5, 0
All in Photoshop elements v.4 - if you don't have photoshop, there is a piece of free-ware called The Gimp which does everything elements can, and pretty much everything the full version of photoshop does. It isn't as easy to use as Photoshop, but there are on-line tutorials. |

Carrie In The Bathby EvetsStneerComment: Umm - why is she wearing a bikini in the bath? Wouldn't this work better as a nude or else not in the bathroom? |

Bad Companyby karmatComment: I can't work put what I am looking at - I can see the fork, and the tines of another in the top left, and a very shiny reflective spoon (complete with reflection of you?)but I can't work out what the object that is held between them is, nor the relationship. |
